“UNFOLDING” Art Exhibit at Gender Odyssey Conference
Washington State Convention Center
August 3-4, 2013, Seattle

The purpose of this exhibit is for any and all in the transgender community to express themselves creatively in an environment of support and connection. Previous shows have been well received and included photography, mixed media, painting, textile, wood carving and video. What you are looking at is an amazing street art mural painted on an ordinary electrical utility box that, when viewed from a specific point and distance, lines up with the intersection in the background, offering the viewer a glimpse into an alternative streetscape. Called ‘Manifestation Station‘, the piece was created by San Francisco-based illustrator and muralist Mona Caron.
